Barrett Holmes | Regional Manager
When Colonel Barrett Holmes (retired) joined the CrowderGulf management team, he had more than 30 years of leadership experience with the US Army. His distinguished military career includes commanding the 20th Engineer Battalion, which was awarded the Army Valorous Unit Citation Award for combat service during Operation Iraqi Freedom II. Following his service in Iraq, Colonel Holmes led the design and construction agency for all US forces and federal agencies in Japan and later served as the principal Department of Defense representative with FEMA Region IV. He coordinated Department of Defense resources for numerous disasters including Hurricanes Earl, Isaac, and Sandy, and provided extended support for the US Coast Guard following the BP Deep Water Horizon Oil Spill. As Regional Manager for CrowderGulf following Hurricane Matthew in October 2016, his team was responsible for 17 projects and removal and disposal of over 4.3 million cubic yards of storm debris. Colonel Holmes holds a BA from Clemson University, an MA from the University of Florida, and is a graduate of the Army War College with a Master’s of Strategic Studies degree. He is also affiliated with the Society of American Military Engineers and the Army Engineer Association. (NIMS Trained)
